John Duncan - Preaching Minister
I hope to meet you when you visit our church family at Gateway. Allow me to tell you a bit about myself. Amy and I moved to Ruidoso in 1993. Over the past two decades I have worked at Gateway as the youth minister, the worship minister and most recently as the preaching minister. My desire is to join God in building His Kingdom, to teach the Word as a means to knowing Christ better, and to experience the joy of the Spirit every day. We have two children; Raina and Josh. When I am not working I love to ski, ride bikes and camp with my family.
Conner Mills - Student & Family Minister
My beautiful wife Kristin and I moved to Ruidoso at the end of 2017, two weeks after Kristin had graduated from ACU with a degree in Elementary Education. Six months before that in a span of 2 weeks I graduated and we got married. Needless to say a lot of big and amazing changes for the Mills family. I have been working in churches for five years; doing ministry in the mission field of Papua New Guinea, interning for youth ministries, and working in college ministry. My goal in ministry and life is to point to and lift up the name of Jesus (John 3:30). Apart from Him and the Spirit at work in me everything you just read would not be. So, the student and family ministry is gospel centered people impacting the kingdom and we would love for you to be a part. Not working you can find me hanging out with my aforementioned beautiful wife playing cards or board games, watching shows or movies on Netflix, and being active.

Margo Mayo - Director of Christian Services
I have lived in the Ruidoso area since 1965. I started with Christian Services as a volunteer & in 2008, was hired on a part time basis. Since April of 2010 I have been the director of our benevolent outreach to families in Lincoln county. When I'm not working I spend time with my 93 year old mother, my friends, and I like to read and listen to music. Christian Services receives donations of food, clothing, and small household items and distributes them free of charge to families in need of assistance. We also provide limited financial assistance on a case by case basis.
'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Dennis Moore - Assistant Director Christian Services
My wife, Jackie, and I moved to Ruidoso to be closer to our family in 2000, and after our visit to the Gateway church, we knew we had found a new family of loving people that we wanted to be a part of. It was the beginning of a new life for us, filled with challenges of being a part of the teaching program of the church and cultivating and being enriched with a host of new friends. Being part of an effort to spread the love of God through the message of Jesus Christ has been the most rewarding part of the long life God has blessed me with. Someone accurately conveyed truth when he wrote
“The best use of life is love; the best expression of love is time; the best time to love is now.”
Sara Spoerri - Assistant Director Christian Services
I am an east coast girl, but was always in love with mountains, which explains why I have lived in places like Switzerland, Wyoming, Costa Rica, and now Lincoln County.
I am a mother of two, and grandmother of one. I retired from dental hygiene in 2013 after nearly 40 years of cleaning teeth. My career was very good to me, but at present I am enjoying working at Christian Services, after having been a volunteer for about 8 years.
